today is a magnificent, cold and 'blue' new york Saturday -Looking out the window is a sublime experience - and 'blue' - because many people in this city state inhabit sky towers and so the 'blue-ness' of days like this surrounds one, clothes one, as in a fine tapestry, (Cleopatra brought before Caesar rolled in a fine rug?) on all sides

At night the tapestry changes, from bright blue and sunshine, to black and red - From up above, the busy, wide avenues like !st are filled with hundreds of flashing red taillights, 4 or 6 across the streets, and on Saturday nights, one can see hundreds and hundreds of these beautiful winking and blinking red lights - and up above, the clear sky and the stars - out and shining. When it rains the whole cloth takes on a satinate finish, smooth and silky

first day 21/11/08

Now absolutely fascinated by the night life - which is totally, totally different from the day life - of New York the bars and clubs, the hotels, restaurant, the streets all are alive with people going places and doing things My task is to find my own types of nightlife and become at home on the streets of New York - after dark- not my normalllll habitat So, tonight I am going to start What started me was last night fairly late I saw an unusual bus go by, different to the monster that trundle around during the day - very sassy and neat, and on the side was a big ad for Alvin Ailey Dance - with what looked like my dear friend Sheila still dancing. It went by so fast but think it said they are here either Dec 2 or Dec 3 must email Donald H Green at donaldhgreenstudio.com to find out details. He is still in Dubai, forever drawing more horses, but he will know! He knows all things beautiful and wonderful and desnirable and I love him xx Tonight I aim to find out the how and where to buy tic kets and then see if I can find Sheila
